“The Cleveland Pops Orchestra will be back for our 25th Anniversary Concert Season!” Shirley Morgenstern President and CEO announced, “We are just on pause.”
We are working closely with Severance Hall, Playhouse Square and the guidelines set by the CDC. The safety and wellbeing of our patrons, musicians, and staff are our number one priority.
We will be celebrating our 25th anniversary, but a little late. There will be joyous celebrations of song, dance, and your Pops musicians bringing you music from stage, screen, the Great American Song Book, and more. The future will bring back the traditions of ushering in the new year with our New Year’s Eve concert and party, and our annual Holiday concert at Playhouse Square never fails to put us in the holiday spirit. Our famous pre-concert talks with Maestro Topilow and guest artists will continue. Our “Actual Music” school education program, Cleveland Pops Youth Orchestra, and even more “summer in your community concerts” will continue to bring our music to our region.
Our concerts are scheduled to start in February 2021 and continue through June. Our schedule may change slightly, as guidelines may alter the capacity of Severance Hall, in which case subscribers will have priority to attend either in person or through live streaming. Subscribers that have been kind enough to re-subscribe in spite of the pause can be assured of their chosen seats.
