Is the Pops Orchestra part of the Cleveland Orchestra?
No! Although we share the same venue, The Cleveland Pops is a separate company and is not associated with The Cleveland Orchestra. The Cleveland Pops with Carl Topilow performs the highest quality symphonic pops music to entertain and enrich a wide and diverse audience. We are a completely different and independent non-profit organization with specific focus on popular orchestral music.
What kind of music will I hear?
You will hear music come to life from film and television to the music of Broadway, Hollywood, jazz, big band, and light classics! Come prepared to be humming along and tapping your feet! You”ll be sure to recognize tunes from the Pops!
What should I wear?
There is no official dress code for the Cleveland Pops! Some people may be dressed up for a night out, others will be more causal, some people will come from work, and some may even be in jeans. The most important thing is to be comfortable!
When should I arrive?
We suggest arriving at least 90 minutes prior to the scheduled showtime. Give yourself enough time to find parking, explore Severance Hall and find your seats.

How do I find my seat?
Severance Hall has ushers that will be at every show to assist you in finding your seats. Tickets will be labeled with a section, row and seat number.
How long do the concerts last?
Our concerts usually run about 2 hours which includes a 15 minute intermission about halfway through the show.
When do I clap?
Audience members usually applaud at the beginning of the concert when the lead violinist enters to tune the orchestra, and then applaud again when maestro Carl Topilow comes onstage. The audience will usually applaud at the end of each piece as well. If you aren’t sure, just follow along with the rest of the audience!
What should I do if I arrive late?
If you arrive late, you will be instructed to wait in the back until the current musical piece has concluded. Once the piece is over, ushers will direct you to your seats.
How much are tickets?
Ticket prices vary based on where your seat is located and what concert you are attending but tickets for the regular concert season start at just $35!
Do you offer discounts?
The best way to save, is always to become a subscriber! You can also join our email list for other special discounts throughout the season!
At every concert we do offer student tickets for $15 at the door on the day of the show. (*Subject to availability. Valid student ID is required.)

What if I can’t use my tickets?
We understand life happens. Subscribers have the benefit to exchange or donate your tickets up to 24 hours before the performance with no added fees by calling 216-765-7677 or emailing staff@clevelandpops.com. Sorry, there are no refunds or credits for missed performances and differences in prices, seat locations, and deadlines may apply.
What accommodations are made for accessibility needs?
